Plamen Markov ((ブルガリア語:Пламен Марков); born 11 September 1957 in Sevlievo) is a retired Bulgarian international footballer who played as a midfielder. He played for the Bulgaria national football team on 32 occasions,〔 including a match in the 1986 World Cup against Argentina. His club career was spent with CSKA Sofia (1975–1985), FC Metz (1985–1987) and Grenoble Foot (1987–1990).〔 His first coaching job came with Grenoble, and he was later in charge at his former club, CSKA Sofia, but he was sacked in 1995.〔 In 2001 he was appointed as coach of the Bulgaria national football team, with his first match in charge coming against Croatia in February.〔 〕 He stepped down as coach of Bulgaria after the Euro 2004 tournament.
